1. Application of the topic of the doctoral dissertation

- Secretariat of the Molecular Biosciences Studies and forwarded in electronic form to the secretary of the postgraduate study (must be in PDF format);

The Council for Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies , upon the proposal of the Committee for Obtaining a Doctorate of Science in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Study of Molecular Biosciences, adopts a Decision on the Appointment of the Committee for the Evaluation of the Topic (the Committee should, as a rule, consist of three members).
After the decision to appoint the Committee for the Evaluation of the Doctoral Dissertation Topic is made, a date for the public defense of the doctoral dissertation topic is scheduled.
The chairman of the thesis evaluation committee informs the Secretary of Studies about the date of the public defense of the thesis by email to katarina.kereta [at]fdmz.hr. The date, time and place must be announced on the Molecular Biosciences website.
2. Acceptance of topic assessment

After the public defense of the topic, the President of the Committee for the Evaluation of the Topic submits the completed, signed, original form (PhD -02) to the Secretariat of the Molecular Biosciences Studies

3. Presentation of doctoral dissertation

4. Acceptance of the doctoral dissertation grade
After submitting the form, Ph.D. -03 and documents proposed by the members of the expert committee for the defense of the doctoral dissertation

The Council for Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies adopts a Decision on accepting the evaluation of the doctoral dissertation and appointing the Committee for the Defense of the Doctoral Dissertation upon the proposal of the Committee for Obtaining a Doctorate of Science in the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Study of Molecular Biosciences. The same Decision determines the date and place of the public defense of the doctoral dissertation.
The doctoral thesis must be published on the postgraduate study website at least 30 days before the public defense.
A postgraduate student is obliged to submit or hand over a hard-bound copy of the doctoral dissertation to each member of the committee no later than the beginning of the doctoral dissertation defense. The student is also obliged to submit three hard-bound copies and two CDs with the doctoral dissertation in PDF format, which are identical to the bound copies, to the study secretariat before the doctoral defense or to hand them over to a representative of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek before the beginning of the doctoral dissertation defense.
The doctoral dissertation is defended at the premises of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek or its constituent units. If the doctoral dissertation is defended at the premises of the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb or the University of Dubrovnik, a representative of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek is appointed at the public defense of the doctoral dissertation.

The Committee for Obtaining a Doctorate of Science at the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Study of Molecular Biosciences makes a Decision on the appointment of the Committee for the Assessment of the Topic, (The Committee should usually count three members).
After the decision on the appointment of the Committee for the evaluation of the topic of the doctoral dissertation, the term of public defense of the topic of the doctoral dissertation is scheduled.
The President of the Committee for the Assessment of the Topic informs the Secretary of studies about the date of public defense of the topic by email katarina.kereta[at]fdmz.hr. The date, time and place must be advertised on the Molecular Biosciences website.

The Council for Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies adopts the Decision on accepting the evaluation of the doctoral dissertation and appointing the Committee for the Defense of the Doctoral Dissertation at the proposal of the Commission for obtaining a Doctorate of Science at the interdisciplinary doctoral study of Molecular Biosciences. The same Decision establishes the date and place of public defense of the doctoral dissertation.
The doctoral thesis must be published on the postgraduate study website at least 30 days before public defence.
A postgraduate student is obliged to submit or present a hard-rooted copy of the doctoral dissertation to each member of the committee no later than the start of the defence of the doctoral dissertation. Also, the student is obliged to deliver three hard-rooted copies and two CDs with a doctoral dissertation in pdf format identical to the rooted specimens to the study secretariat before defending the doctorate or present them to a representative of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek until the start of the defense of the doctoral dissertation.
The doctoral dissertation is defended in the premises of the University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer in Osijek or its constituents. If the doctoral dissertation is defended in the premises of the Rudjer Boskovic Institute in Zagreb or the University of Dubrovnik, a representative of the University of Josip Juraj Strossmayer Osijek is appointed to the public defence of the doctoral dissertation.
