Understand non-destructive and statistical methods in the analysis of the properties of economic species and get acquainted with international organizations and standards for non-destructive methods of analysis.

Case contents:

LECTURES: Theoretical basics and application of non-destructive methods; Division of methods; Standards for non-destructive methods of analysis; Non-destructive and statistical methods in the analysis of economic species; Material properties; Example 1. Application in the analysis of fruits and vegetables; Example 2. Application in ecosystem analysis; Example 3. Statistical methods of analysis of results among laboratory calibrations (ISO standards); Internet Links and Dictionary of Terms; International Organisations for Non-Destructive Methods of Analysis. SEMINAR: Selection of economic type, preparation of literature, equipment list and plan for targeted non-destructive methods of analysis.

Learning outcomes: competences, knowledge, skills that the subject develops:

1. Explain the application of non-destructive methods of analysis of economic species.
2. Assess the suitability of the use of non-destructive methods with regard to the basic characteristics of economic species.
3. Apply measuring equipment and computer programs to carry out non-destructive measurements and analyses.
4. Use materials to international organizations and standards for non-destructive and statistical methods.
