AND.
- The doctoral interdisciplinary study of Molecular Biosciences is conducted by Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek in cooperation with the University of Dubrovnik and the Ruđer Bošković Institute in Zagreb.
- The doctoral interdisciplinary study of Molecular Biosciences lasts three years, or six semesters, and upon its completion, 180 ECTS points and the academic degree of Doctor of Science in the Interdisciplinary Field of Science are obtained with an indication of at least two scientific fields to which the content of the doctoral thesis belongs (in accordance with point II of the competition).
- According to the potential number of mentors, a total of 30 students are enrolled in the doctoral interdisciplinary study of Molecular Biosciences.
II.
General information about doctoral interdisciplinary studies
Interdisciplinarity is a fundamental feature of the doctoral interdisciplinary study of Molecular Biosciences, which functionally integrates:
- field of biotechnical sciences - field of food technology, field of agriculture
- field of biomedicine and healthcare - field of basic medical science,
- field of natural sciences - field of biology, field of chemistry
The study program of the doctoral interdisciplinary study of Molecular Biosciences contains
- compulsory cases
- methodological electives
- elective subjects in different modules:
- materials science and new technologies
- bioinformatics
- biology
- biology of the sea
- plant biology
- biomedicine
Doctoral interdisciplinary study lasts three years, or six semesters: compulsory and methodological elective courses are taken in the first semester, elective courses in modules are taken in the second semester. semester, and in other semesters the student is dedicated to the preparation of a doctoral thesis.
III.
Conditions of enrolment to study
- Candidates who have completed university graduate, university integrated undergraduate and graduate studies or university specialist studies and undergraduate studies according to the study system before 2005 can enroll in the study, as follows:
- from the fields of biotechnical, biomedical and natural sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, food technology, chemical engineering, biotechnology, human and veterinary medicine, dental medicine, pharmacy, nursing, physiotherapy, agriculture and forestry);
- other university graduate, university integrated undergraduate and graduate studies with the passing of distinctive subjects determined by the Council for Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies.
- Candidates who have obtained a master's degree at a corresponding postgraduate study can enroll in the course. The number of recognized ECTS credits for enrollment in a given semester is approved by the Council for Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies depending on the attached qualifications (academic degree of Master of Science, number of published works, participation in meetings, etc.).
- The study programme may be enrolled by persons whose average grade in the university graduate, university integrated undergraduate and graduate studies was at least 3.5. Exceptional enrolment rights are granted to persons whose grade is below 3.5 provided that they have the recommendation of two distinguished scientists or university professors of the higher education institution from which they graduated.
- Knowledge of a world language.

The application for the competition (on the prescribed form of the study holder that can be downloaded at the http://mobi.unios.hr/dokumenti/ ) must contain:
- personal data of the candidate with indication of residential address,
- biography
- motivation letter and description of scientific research interest
- a copy of the certificate of the dominance or proof of nationality
- a certified copy of the diploma of the completed study
- transcript of grades of completed integrated university undergraduate and graduate studies/university undergraduate and university graduate studies with a highlighted average grade that should be higher than 3.5
- recommendations of two distinguished scientists or university professors of the higher education institution where they graduated (if the average is less than 3.5)
- a certificate of knowledge of one world language or a written statement to that effect
- confirmation from the institution or a statement from the candidate in written form about the obligation to pay tuition fees
Applications must be submitted in person or sent by mail within 30 days of the publication of the tender to the address:

V.
Doctoral study costs:
- The total tuition fee in accordance with the doctoral study program is €7,000.00.
- Tuition is paid before enrollment in the year to the giro account number HR4325000091102012988; call to the CANDIDATE's OIB number;
- After the payment has been made, the applicants attach the payment confirmation, which is a copy of the receipt (if the company/institution paid) or a copy of the payment slip (if the candidate himself paid);

Applications for the competition and the fulfillment of the requirements for admission to the doctoral interdisciplinary study are considered by the Committee for determining the fulfillment of the requirements for admission.
Applications that are not filled out in accordance with the prescribed application form and instructions will not be considered, as well as incomplete and untimely applications.
The committee for selecting candidates conducts evaluation procedures through two levels. The first level of evaluation is the evaluation of candidates according to the tender documentation. The second level of evaluation consists of an interview with the candidates.
The list of selected candidates for admission to doctoral studies is determined by the Council for Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies based on the scoring. The method of scoring candidates is determined by the Council for Interdisciplinary Doctoral Studies and is published on the website https://mobi.unios.hr/ .
The candidate has the right to submit an objection to the selection procedure through the Office for Students within 24 hours after the announcement of the results of the candidate selection procedure.
All applicants will be notified of the results of the competition by publication on the website no later than 30 days after the conclusion of the competition procedure.
All terms used in this Contest that have a gender meaning include both male and female genders.
