The public defense of the doctoral thesis entitled "The role of ACE2 gene polymorphisms in the systemic inflammatory response in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease" by Dejan Marčetić, MD , a doctoral student in Molecular Biosciences, will be held on January 12, 2026 in Hall 1 of the Rectorate of the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, starting at 11:00 a.m.

  3. emeritus assistant professor, PhD Mirjana Suver Stević , associate professor at the Department of Biology, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, member;
  4. Prof. Dr. Sc. Nada Oršolić , full professor in permanent appointment at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb, replacement member;
  5. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sc. Maja Sabol , senior research associate at the Ruđer Bošković Institute and associate professor at the Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek, substitute member.
The doctoral thesis mentors are assoc. assoc. dr. sc. Jelena Knežević , titular assistant professor at the Faculty of Dental Medicine and Health Osijek, Josip Juraj Strossmayer University in Osijek, mentor 1, and assoc. assoc. dr. sc.
